Poor patient & family communication reduces satisfaction.

Text messaging is so easy with PatientTrak. We set-up our standard messages and started using the system right away. We ask patients and family members for their mobile numbers and immediately send them a welcome message. The families truly appreciate the text messages as they feel very comfortable knowing their loved one is doing well.

Important patient engagement FAQs
How does PatientTrak’s solution improve patient engagement?
Engaging patients before, during and post-visit keeps them informed and in touch with their healthcare. PatientTrak’s platform was built to engage patients through SMS text messaging, email, appointment reminders, kiosk software, tracking automation, wayfinding, online scheduling as well as after visit surveys. We help you connect with your patients between appointments and provide them with the information they need to improve their healthcare.
Is the solution easy to use?
One of the biggest comments we receive from our customers is how easy PatientTrak is to use. Ease of use is one of our chief design goals as we continually enhance the software. We exist to help our customers simplify the patient journey. Our user interface is clean and intuitive to maximize staff communication and collaboration.
How long will it take to train staff?
You are going to find it hard to believe this, but truthfully, we can train your staff in an hour. We normally do this during an initial configuration session where we assist you with setting up areas, activities, and milestones. After go-live it is common for customers to have follow-up questions which we answer and provide further clarification that first week.
If any staff need extra training, we are always here. Our training and support is second to none and included in the monthly subscription. Our goal is to get you up and running quickly.
How long is the implementation process?
Implementation depends on your application of PatientTrak and how quickly you can provide the required interface information and access. Once an order is placed you are assigned a PatientTrak implementation specialist who will work with you to get the system configured and integrated with your EHR as quickly as possible.
Having your IT team involved in project as early as possible will be the biggest factor in a timely implementation. The process usually takes two to three weeks in duration depending on the complexity of the application and your ability to connect us with the right people within your organization.
How secure is your software?
We take security very seriously and are continually working to improve our security profile. We have been operating in the healthcare space since 2006 and have never had a single issue with security. Our system has multiple layers of security and data encryption, and we also offer Single Sign On (SSO) compatible with your current identity platform.
Is PatientTrak HIPAA compliant?
Absolutely. Our software is 100% HIPAA compliant.
Does your solution integrate with EMR/EHR?
Yes. PatientTrak integrates with dozens of leading EHR’s including Epic, Cerner, GE Healthcare, Athena, McKesson, Allscripts, Meditech and many more. We have both API and HL7 connectivity that create a powerful integrated system with your EHR and PatientTrak. We integrate with your EHR to create an amazing patient engagement platform and applications your EHR likely does not have.
Does PatientTrak integrate with other systems?
PatientTrak’s platform is HL7 compliant for advanced system interoperability. We can provide a HL7 interface to your ADT system, EMR/EHR, scheduling system, or any other practice management system.
PatientTrak Text Messaging is also available as an App in the Epic App Orchard.
How a Global Pandemic Shaped the Future of Patient Engagement
Early in 2020, COVID-19 had a sudden and crippling effect on health systems all over the world. Two years on, coronavirus disease still dominates the healthcare landscape. The demands of modern healthcare are evolving at an alarming rate, and the challenges have never been greater.
Since the pandemic began, daily life in hospitals and outpatient centers has been disrupted beyond belief, and many elective procedures and routine appointments postponed. It has dramatically changed the dynamics of patient and family engagement.
How healthcare providers communicated with patients had to change. Telehealth exploded onto the scene as fast as busy waiting rooms disappeared. The crisis sparked a new wave of innovations to keep patients safe. Some of the long-standing barriers to healthcare were removed, including certain regulatory hurdles.
